A Family-Owned Wisconsin Business Since 1979

Dale Miller founded A-1 Pools in 1979, starting with a simple display of pool supplies in the family garage. His wife, Marylin, had grown up with a pool, and their wish to have one of their own helped inspire the business. As Dale's reputation for quality and integrity spread, A-1 Pools grew into a a full-time operation, with Marylin managing the retail store while Dale built pools.

Dale's son, Jason, later joined the company and eventually took over the business with his wife, Becky. Today, A-1 Pools remains a family-owned business, carrying forward Dale's commitment to thorough work, integrity, and staff knowledge that shaped the company from the beginning.

Hot Tubs in West Bend and Franklin

We are a Bullfrog Spas dealer in West Bend and a Sundance Spas dealer in Franklin. Both brands offer a range of models, price points, features, and finishes, giving you options to compare based on your space, preferences, and budget.

Our salespeople and technicians attend Bullfrog and Sundance training to build firsthand knowledge of the spas we sell and service. That helps us explain the differences between models and answer questions about features, operation, and care.

Want to try a hot tub before buying? Our showrooms offer wet tests in select operating models. A wet test lets you sit in the water, experience the jets, and compare how the seating feels. Contact your preferred showroom to confirm current demo availability and arrange a visit.

We also provide delivery and installation support, startup assistance, repairs, maintenance, water testing, chemicals, and seasonal opening and winterization services.

Bullfrog and Sundance Swim Spas

You can shop Bullfrog swim spas at A-1 Pools in West Bend and Sundance swim spas at A-1 Pools in Franklin.

A swim spa gives you space for swimming against a current, water exercise, and relaxation in one unit. For homeowners interested in year-round use, our team can help you explore models and discuss placement, setup requirements, and ongoing care.

We usually have an operating swim spa available to try at each showroom. Demo availability can change during maintenance or deliveries, so contact the store before planning a test swim.

After your purchase, we can help with delivery, service, repairs, maintenance, seasonal opening, and winterization.

Indoor and Outdoor Saunas You Can Try

A-1 Pools offers indoor, outdoor, traditional, infrared, and combination sauna options. Our selection includes saunas from FINSAUNA, Auroom, and Haljas, along with sauna heaters and related products from brands such as HUUM, IKI, and Saunum.

Both our West Bend and Franklin showrooms have saunas on display and select operating saunas available for customers to try. Contact the showroom to find out which sauna models and heat types are currently available for a demo.

Trying a sauna can help you compare the heat experience, seating, and interior space before deciding what fits your preferences. If you’re comparing traditional and infrared heat, ask about arranging separate visits to experience each option.

We also offer sauna delivery and installation, along with heaters, sauna stones, and accessories.

Pools and Support for Pool Owners

We carry pools from Doughboy, Radiant, and Embassy, with above-ground, semi-inground, and inground options depending on the model and installation requirements. Our team can explain which configurations a particular pool supports and help you understand the next steps.

A-1 Pools does not currently install pools. We can guide you through product requirements and provide a list of contractors who perform pool installations.

Once your pool is installed, our retail and service teams can help with water care, chemicals, equipment, weekly maintenance, and seasonal openings and closings. We choose the pools we carry with long-term ownership in mind and help customers understand the care their pool needs.

Pool and Spa Water Testing

We offer pool, hot tub, and swim spa water testing at both our West Bend and Franklin stores. Our retail staff uses LaMotte water-testing equipment and helps you understand your results and recommended water-care steps.

Water testing is free for qualifying new customers and VIP customers. Customers qualify for VIP status by spending $500 or more with A-1 Pools per year. For customers who do not qualify for free testing, the price is $9.99 per test.

You’re welcome to bring in a water sample even if you purchased your pool or spa elsewhere. Ask our team about current eligibility and how to collect a sample for testing.

Chemicals, Supplies, and Replacement Parts

Both stores carry pool and spa chemicals, supplies, covers, accessories, and pool toys, as well as sauna accessories. Our retail staff is trained in water chemistry and can help you understand how to use the products recommended for your water-care needs.

Looking for a replacement part? Our parts department can help identify what you need. Whether it’s an O-ring, a filter, or another component, bring the details you have, and we’ll help you work through the options.

Professional Pool and Spa Service

Our service team provides pool, hot tub, and swim spa maintenance and repairs. Technicians receive training from our service manager, and our leadership includes PHTA-certified professionals with experience serving as presidents of the Midwest chapter of the Pool & Hot Tub Alliance.

Services include seasonal openings and closings, equipment repairs and upgrades, leak detection, hot tub relocation, and hot tub removal. Contact our team to discuss your equipment, location, and the scope of work needed.

We also offer weekly maintenance packages ranging from water testing and chemical balancing to more complete cleaning. Depending on the package, that can include brushing, vacuuming, and cleaning skimmers.
