Hear from customers about the A-1 Pools Service Team
From our convenient store locations to service calls at your home, we execute a clear vision of what well-informed, accessible customer service should be. Our staff is well-trained, experienced, and deeply committed to full customer satisfaction. Knowledgeable, vetted, efficient, and courteous, our store and service staff members exhibit the highest level of professionalism.
This approach has earned us several awards over the years, including the Superior Service Award from the Pool & Hot Tub Association (PHTA) Midwest Chapter. This award means a lot to us not only because it required meeting stringent customer service requirements, but the winning factor, in the end, was our customer endorsements.
The service companies who entered had to identify 100 service customers, who were, then, sent surveys until at least 50 responses were collected. Award-winning companies needed to receive nearly perfect responses from surveyed customers. The fact that we walked away with a win in this contest is a testament to the dedication of our team and the loyalty of our customers.
Our deepest gratitude goes out to all the staff and customers who made this win possible. We’re eager to continue our tradition of exceptional pool and spa services so that you may experience the best at-home recreation and wellness practices possible. We are pleased to offer our assistance with chemicals, maintenance, and repairs even if you didn’t purchase your pool, hot tub, or swim spa from us.
Even the most hands-on pool and spa owners need help with maintenance every now and then. Whether you need the occasional helping hand or a regular maintenance service, our team at A-1 Pools is here to help. Here’s what you can expect from our service department.
Our service staff is manufacturer-certified to service the types of pools, hot tubs, and swim spas found in our showroom. Each service team member regularly attends manufacturer training and is highly competent with most other brands on the market. The Pool & Hot Tub Association (PHTA) offers multiple levels of training and certification for retail, service, and installation staff, so staff can understand the specifics of each brand for accurate and efficient service. All of our team members participate in PHTA training. In fact, we are among just a handful of Wisconsin service companies to have a Certified Service Professional (CSP) on our service staff. This is the highest level of certification available for the pool & spa service industry.
With the help of reliable, trackable technology, we at A-1 Pools have our service procedures down to a science. We use GPS-tracked vans that enable efficient scheduling, recorded arrival and departure times, and safe driving. Every service van is equipped with technology, allowing our service technicians ready access to all necessary job, customer, and parts information as well as relevant equipment manuals to supplement each job as needed. Each van also carries a large inventory of pool and spa parts. With the information and inventory we need close at hand, we strive to get the job done, and done right, in one visit.
The inventory at our stores and in our service vans is computer controlled. This means that our most common inventory is ordered before we run out, thus enabling maximum efficiency. Our technicians are able to check inventory at all store locations and in all our service vans at a glance. They can also see inventory on order as well as average lead times.

Unlike most pool and spa businesses, we are glad to welcome you as a customer, even if we didn’t sell you your pool, hot tub, or swim spa.
We are a leading resource for chemicals and maintenance products and services for owners after the sale. We also offer full leak detection and repair, including electronic measurement of water loss, electronic leak detection in vinyl liner pools, listening for leaks in underground plumbing, and underwater repair. Unique to many of our competitors, we can locate leaks and complete the repair, often in one trip, saving you time and money.
It's important to keep an eye on your pool to make sure it's in good condition and to catch any issues early on. Signs that your pool may need maintenance include cloudy or discolored water, debris or algae buildup, unusual noises or vibrations from the pool equipment, and reduced water flow or pressure.
Generally, it is recommended to drain and refill your hot tub every three to four months, although this can vary depending on usage and other factors. Factors that can influence the frequency of hot tub water changes include the number of people using the hot tub, the frequency of use, the amount of chemicals used, and the overall quality of the water.
If you are a busy pool or spa owner who does not have the time, knowledge, or experience to maintain your pool or hot tub regularly, weekly maintenance service may be right for you. This service can save you time and effort while ensuring that your pool is clean, safe, and in good working condition.
